Although I don’t usually welcome the addition of a book to the Essential Reading section here at SEO Blog, this is an exception. Avinash Kaushik’s Web Analytics: An hour a Day is the best book I’ve ever read about Internet marketing for small businesses. The title is misleading. It explains complex metrics in simple terms, and gives very detailed guidelines that are followed step-by-step. Avinash Kaushik, who was previously the Director of Web Research & Analytics at Intuit, left earlier this year in order to become an independent consultant. He is currently working as an Analytics Evangelist for Google. His blog Occam’s Razor explains more about his first assignment. Avinash will donate proceeds from Web Analytics to charity.
